# Compactica

> Compactica is real-time intelligent compaction (IC) software and retrofit hardware for asphalt paving contractors. It turns the rollers a contractor already owns into a per-shift density coaching loop, so crews capture their full DOT density bonus on every shift — instead of finding out weeks later, after the lot closes, that an inconsistent shift cost them the bonus.

Compactica is built by people with 20+ years in asphalt operations (plant management, field QC, equipment, paving crews). Module 1 — Intelligent Compaction — is live today. It installs on a contractor's existing rollers (any make: Hamm, Cat, Bomag, and others) in about ten minutes, with no new equipment and no capital expense.

What the platform does:
- Live in-cab alerts while the mat is still workable — when pass counts drop, the rolling pattern drifts, or mat temperature runs low at the joint.
- A per-shift A–F score with the statistical root cause (mix, mat temperature, or rolling pattern), delivered by the next morning.
- Operator-vs-spec coaching scorecards that frame the data as coaching, not surveillance.
- A lot-by-lot audit trail and AASHTO R-111-22 compliant reports for QA/QC and dispute defense.

Who it is for: QC directors, VPs of operations, and owners at multi-plant paving contractors working in DOT pay-factor (density bonus/penalty) states. Most contractors capture only 70–80% of available density bonus; the gap is usually one inconsistent shift, and on real tonnage it is a six-figure annual leak.

Approach: Compactica integrates with the systems contractors already use rather than replacing them. It starts with compaction (Module 1) and expands across the operation in later phases (plant and trucking data, paver telemetry, predictive alerts).
